ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a talented and innovative Technical Artist to join our team and bridge the gap between art and technology in our game development projects.

As a Technical Artist, you will work closely with both the art and programming teams to implement art assets into our game engine, optimize performance, and ensure that artistic vision is achieved within technical constraints.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining art pipelines, creating shaders, and assisting in the integration of art assets into the game engine.

Additionally, you will collaborate with artists and designers to troubleshoot technical issues, provide solutions, and push the boundaries of visual quality in our games.

The role requires a strong understanding of both artistic and technical principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of visual excellence in game development.

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry or related field.

  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and animation software such as Maya, Zbrush or Blender.

  • Strong understanding of real-time rendering techniques, shaders, and lighting in the Unreal engine.

  • Experience with scripting and programming languages commonly used in game development, such as C++.

  • Knowledge of optimization techniques for improving performance and memory usage of art assets in game engines.

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce) and collaboration tools used in game development pipelines.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide creative solutions to achieve artistic goals within technical constraints.

  • A strong portfolio showcasing your technical and artistic skills, including examples of shader development, art pipeline implementation, and optimization techniques.

  • Passion for gaming and a desire to stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in game development and computer graphics.

  • Previous experience in areas such as rigging, animation, or visual effects is a plus.
